Corona Hospital with a capacity of one thousand beds has officially started its journey in Bangladesh. Health Minister Zahid Malek-MP inaugurated the hospital at noon on Sunday (April 18) at the DNCC building in Mohakhali.
Atiqul Islam, Mayor of Dhaka (North) City Corporation and others were present at the time.
The hospital will start admitting patients from Monday (April 19) morning, health ministry sources said.
The inaugurated hospital has 112 ICU beds. 250 HDU beds. There are 136 ICU standard beds. The beds are connected to the central oxygen system. The hospital has 50 beds in the emergency ward.
Out of these 550 beds, there will be 450 more beds, which will house non-critically ill patients.
